25% off poker lessons!

I have decided to re-open my coaching services.

Now is the perfect time to improve your game at a huge discount, as I'm offering poker lessons for 25% off!!! Improve your game significantly so when online poker sorts itself out you can annihilate your opponents!

I have decided that I will offer my services at 25% off of what my hourly coaching rate was when I last coached in 2010, which was $250 per hour. It will now be $187.50 per hour. I think this is a great value and you have the added bonus of knowing that I'm a considerably improved poker player since the last time I was coaching students.

My coaching lessons are two hours in length and I feel like a minimum of 5 lessons (10 hours) is ideal for being able to fully convey my knowledge to you and have a significant impact on improving your game. If you choose to purchase a 5 lesson package, I will give you even a further discount of 20% off of the already reduced hourly fee of $187.50 on the entire lesson package. That's only $150 per hour for quality poker lessons! That's a total of 40% off my normal coaching rate!!!

My specialties are NLHE 6 Max cash games and mass tabling. I can help boost your # of tables played by at least a table or two by helping you understand how to use a few secret things that I've discovered in my VPP quest this year... I have slightly over 930k VPPs so far in 2011.

If you would like to contact me about getting lessons feel free to private message me on Cardrunners.com or email me at "Duckslayer2k@gmail.com" and I'd be glad to respond.

Played decently, but got a poor result

I think I played quite solidly today and was able to get the money in good an awful lot. I just wasn't able to get my hands to hold up, like I did yesterday. Lost about 4.5 buyins in total but it isn't even phasing me at all because I just am really satisfied with how I played. I did my job and that's all I can do. period.

I would normally go on now to complain about the fact that I ran $6k below EV but it just doesn't matter. I ran $3k above EV yesterday. Like INTERNETPOKERS said in his blog, there are all sorts of kinds of luck... for example, I got lucky to have people ship bottom pair when I had AA overpair in a 3-bet pot, etc.

I'm feeling so great right now. I feel like although I posted the results above in my blog, I am super close to being fully separated from my results and feeling extremely unattached to the results of a specific day. This, I believe, is a major key to become a massive winner.

I'm not sure how much time I'll have to play over the next few days. I have to start putting stuff in boxes to get ready for my move, as well as go to the closing on Friday to finish up the deal on the new crib.

  1. didn't INTERNETPOKERS also say in that blog that looking at all in EV is big waste of time.

  2. yea he did. I'm going to try and avoid looking at it from now on but I just was curious yesterday.

Looking at it just for shits and giggles I think is ok, but I'm not wasting any time dwelling on it or thinking about it. Obviously easier not to waste any time thinking about it by not even looking at it in the first place, so I do agree with INTERNETPOKERS.

Peeking at the all in EV is just a bad habit I have, but now, unlike in the past, I'm able to not let it affect me at all.
