25% off poker lessons!

I have decided to re-open my coaching services.

Now is the perfect time to improve your game at a huge discount, as I'm offering poker lessons for 25% off!!! Improve your game significantly so when online poker sorts itself out you can annihilate your opponents!

I have decided that I will offer my services at 25% off of what my hourly coaching rate was when I last coached in 2010, which was $250 per hour. It will now be $187.50 per hour. I think this is a great value and you have the added bonus of knowing that I'm a considerably improved poker player since the last time I was coaching students.

My coaching lessons are two hours in length and I feel like a minimum of 5 lessons (10 hours) is ideal for being able to fully convey my knowledge to you and have a significant impact on improving your game. If you choose to purchase a 5 lesson package, I will give you even a further discount of 20% off of the already reduced hourly fee of $187.50 on the entire lesson package. That's only $150 per hour for quality poker lessons! That's a total of 40% off my normal coaching rate!!!

My specialties are NLHE 6 Max cash games and mass tabling. I can help boost your # of tables played by at least a table or two by helping you understand how to use a few secret things that I've discovered in my VPP quest this year... I have slightly over 930k VPPs so far in 2011.

If you would like to contact me about getting lessons feel free to private message me on Cardrunners.com or email me at "Duckslayer2k@gmail.com" and I'd be glad to respond.

December Results

Overall for the month, I ended up making about $14k from poker profits. Obviously not nearly as good as my last few months but still OK. Much of that was actually from rakeback. I got a huge rakeback check from raketherake.com because I played so much in November. Of the $14k I made this month, $5k of that was from rakeback.

I didn't execute my monthly plan as well as I would have liked. I did follow it most of the time, however, which was good. There were times where I would play more than 4 tables, times where I tried bluffing big fish, and times where I didn't make the best decisions. I think I may have put too much pressure on myself by making so many different goals and plans. Next time I'm going to make it much simpler to focus on fewer things.

I'll probably do a recap of my year sometime tomorrow.

  1. Love the blog man! Keep up the great work! One question for you however..........how do you stay so motivated to play so many hands? I mean I work full-time but still I only managed to play 42hr of 6max Cash games in Dec......along with 87 tourneys...... But yeah any tips on staying motivated to play would be great! :)

  2. It's pretty easy to stay motivated to play so many hands when I enjoy what I'm doing. I don't really think it's a chore to play that many hands in a month, mainly because it's a lot of fun for me on most days.

Also, this is my full-time job. And it's winter in North Dakota... nothing really to do besides play hockey.

As far as advice I'd give, read the Poker Mindset book. That will give you the psychological outlook on the game you need to become a big winner. So many players take days off because they ran bad the day before, etc. I just grind through it and play the next day because I don't let previous results get to me and affect my play. That also helps out my volume considerably as I'm not taking breaks weeks at a time because I'm "running bad".

    It's all one long session.
