25% off poker lessons!

I have decided to re-open my coaching services.

Now is the perfect time to improve your game at a huge discount, as I'm offering poker lessons for 25% off!!! Improve your game significantly so when online poker sorts itself out you can annihilate your opponents!

I have decided that I will offer my services at 25% off of what my hourly coaching rate was when I last coached in 2010, which was $250 per hour. It will now be $187.50 per hour. I think this is a great value and you have the added bonus of knowing that I'm a considerably improved poker player since the last time I was coaching students.

My coaching lessons are two hours in length and I feel like a minimum of 5 lessons (10 hours) is ideal for being able to fully convey my knowledge to you and have a significant impact on improving your game. If you choose to purchase a 5 lesson package, I will give you even a further discount of 20% off of the already reduced hourly fee of $187.50 on the entire lesson package. That's only $150 per hour for quality poker lessons! That's a total of 40% off my normal coaching rate!!!

My specialties are NLHE 6 Max cash games and mass tabling. I can help boost your # of tables played by at least a table or two by helping you understand how to use a few secret things that I've discovered in my VPP quest this year... I have slightly over 930k VPPs so far in 2011.

If you would like to contact me about getting lessons feel free to private message me on Cardrunners.com or email me at "Duckslayer2k@gmail.com" and I'd be glad to respond.

Live poker

Live poker is definitely not my favorite form of poker for a ton of obvious reasons... it's full ring, hands are dealt at a turtle like pace, you can only play one table, etc. However, it's kind of fun to mix it up a bit and get some live poker in.

I played quite a bit today at the Bellagio, starting out at $2/5 NL to get warmed up and accustomed again to the live poker feel. After a few hours, I then played some $5/10 NL. All in all, I played for about 10.5 hours and finished up around $450.

I didn't get any huge hands or win any big pots really. Most of the money I made came from just iso-raising a few limpers and then c-betting on the flop. It seemed like most of my opponents would play pretty close to fit and fold poker on the flop so long as I c-bet large enough.

I never really lost any big pots either, except a few of my c-bets got snapped off by check-raises in spots where they'd be crazy to check raise pure bluff me based upon the board texture... so I had to bet/fold a few hands where I actually hit a small piece of the board.

Overall, I was happy with my play and I was able to avoid just nitting it up and nutpeddling. I was suprised how much respect 3-bet squeezes got... I went ahead and 3-bet bluffed a few opponents that I knew would only continue with the best of hands. I pulled it off probably half a dozen times and was successful with each one.

Anyways, tomorrow is my last day in Vegas so I'll probably try to play some more live poker. I think I'll check out the games at the Wynn as I hear there are some bigger donkaments going on there right now. Also, my friend Brenton is going to be in Vegas too so I'll probably meet up with him for a bit as well.
