Ok, so I've been so busy over the past few days I haven't had time to update until now. This will be a short one as well. I decided to make a trip to LA to visit a few friends and check out the city. I've never been there before and I wanted to see what it was like, how the people were, etc. I'm definitely planning on moving to a big city sometime soon and I'm trying to figure out where I want to go.
I really like Chicago, so that's still an option. I visited there a few months ago. Vegas is fun but I'm uncertain if I'd want to actually live there. LA is looking pretty amazing so far. I had a blast going out with my friends Friday and Saturday night.
So far, the people in LA don't seem nearly as bitchy or self-centered as I've heard about. That was the stereotype I've heard about from various people when speaking to them about LA. Everyone seems to say the city, weather, etc. is good but the people suck. I guess I have about 8 more days to figure out if that statement is actually true for the average LA person, but as of now I'm not seeing a dramatic difference in how people interact with each other compared to other places in the U.S.
I'm going to be playing a lot of poker during the week with my friend Adam. We're going to help each other polish our games up, so we can tear up the tables from here on out. Also, I plan on meeting up with my friends John and Eric sometime for an adventure near Huntington beach. I have to get some stuff done today so I have to cut this short, but I'll hopefully post some pics and more updates sometime soon.

If you choose to purchase a 5 lesson package, I will give you even a further discount of 20% off of the already reduced hourly fee of $187.50 on the entire lesson package. That's only $150 per hour for quality poker lessons! That's a total of 40% off my normal coaching rate!!!
My specialties are NLHE 6 Max cash games and mass tabling. I can help boost your # of tables played by at least a table or two by helping you understand how to use a few secret things that I've discovered in my VPP quest this year... I have slightly over 930k VPPs so far in 2011.

Duckslayer2k's Poker Career
The summer after my first year of college, a bunch of my old friends from high school were all back in town after finishing up the 2005 spring college semester. We all decided to get together at a friend’s house to hang out and someone decided that we should play poker. I was totally clueless and had no idea how to even play. I had seen it on TV before but never paid much attention to it and didn’t even know the rules. I was reluctant to even play the small $5 tournament because I had heard so many horror stories about how people had become addicted to gambling and lost everything, so I didn’t really want open up the possibility of something like that happening to me as well. However, curiosity and eventually the realization that I was smart enough to control my losses led me to enter the $5 sit-and-go. I was the first player to bust out, but I had a lot of fun and the poker bug had bitten.
I am now a regular in the $2/4 NL - $5/10 NL 6 max online cash games on PokerStars. I have played well over 2 million recorded cash game hands in my career and I look upon building on that experience with getting into higher stakes in the coming months.
